Docks are in! Now if we could just get summer to arrive....
Geoduck Planting - Scheduled for June 16th when there's a -4 tide. Time tbd.
Clam Planting - Clam planting is scheduled for May 14th at 9am. You can still harvest clams that day, just please only take the correct size and always bury the smaller ones so that the Seagulls won't get a free lunch! Harvesting shellfish does require a WDFW Shellfish License even if it's from a privately owned beach. Please see our page on Beach Info for more information. Remember to cover your clam holes!
Board Member Openings for 2022! We have 5 Board Member Positions up for grabs at the 2022 Annual Meeting in May. If you would like to put your hat in the race, please email the office with a short statement about yourself and why you want to run for the Board. Please submit your entry by April 28 to be included in the Annual Meeting packet that gets mailed out May 1st.
UPDATE 05/06/22 if you missed the deadline but would still like to put your name in, please contact the office.
Not so great news - There were a number of break-ins reported of houses, garages and sheds over this past winter with items stolen such as a boat motor, chainsaws, gas cans, propane canisters, tools, etc. While the promise of fiber optic internet is coming and approximately 2 years out, we are looking for ideas on how to be more vigilant around our community. In the past we've had the Sheriff's Dept come out and give a talk on what's been going on and what things we can do to deter this kind of activity. If that is something you would like to participate in, or have other ideas let us know.
