The following are links for members to help with their transition to the Brinnon area.
To apply for a physical address with the county for your property click here
Address Application(jefferson.wa.us)
Please note that Lot numbers are not a physical address. Because these properties were originally created with the intent of recreational camping only, physical addresses were not assigned. That was left up to the owner to get.
Electricity Provider
Mason County PUD 1 (mason-pud1.org)
The electric company does not require a physical address for service. (If you're wondering why Mason County instead of Jefferson County PUD, Mt. Walker is the separation line between the 2 providers.)
Garbage, Recycling & Dumps
Olympic Disposal in Sequim handles garbage/recycling pick up for Brinnon.
Quilcene Dump takes recycling of paper, glass, plastic, aluminum and cardboard. There's also dumps located in Shelton and Port Townsend. Metal recycling can be taken to Pay More Recycling in Shelton or Tim the Scrap Guy (360) 280-4564 will come pick up anything with metal for free. See other section on Solid Waste Removal for info on dumps, county code enforcement, etc.
Internet, Cable & Phone
Hood Canal Communications offers fiber optic high speed internet, cable and phone. Register at www.HCC.net or call (360) 898-2481. Properties with no physical address can have the lines installed however a physical address is necessary to activate the service. (The link to apply for an address with the county is listed at the top of this page)
Cellular - AT&T has a tower near Coyle closest to Brinnon. Verizon and T-Mobile towers are in Kitsap County on other side of Hood Canal. Coverage all depends on where your property location is. A signal booster may help.
